Reason # 41

This photo depicts two 90 year old stick of dynamite in a glass jar. They were located in an old abandoned Black Smith Shop. If you look close you can see the white nitroglycerin crystals on the top of the photo attached to the glass. Also you can see the wet area in the bottom of the jar. This is the liquid nitroglycerin. This is an extremely dangerous situation.

The jar was left on the workbench out in the open shop. It was approximately 1.5 inches from the bench's edge. Juveniles had broken into the building and crawled pass this jar. Had they knocked it onto the floor, they would have been killed.

Leaking, "sweating" dynamite is extremely shock and heat sensitive. NECED can safely remove and dispose of this potentially lethal situation. For more valuable information about old dynamite, and explosives, take the course.
